The Unreal Play The Burnt Toast: Tonight!
The Unreal are in town! I just received an email from them which I'm plastering below for your informational reading enjoyment. Besides being one of the best traveling poetry live acts on the planet (see old poetry blog from months ago in which they were featured for more details), we are proud to announce that the group will also be contributing monthly to the Illiterate Poetry Blogs, where they will be sharing their favorite everythings-having-to-do-with-poetry and introducing you to some of the people they've met while performing from the road.
They will be our imbedded reporters, reporting from the wide open field-shaped bars/coffee shop/stages of America straight into your personal electricty-powered computers. Ain't that fucking something?! The Diggers didn't have technology like this back in the 60's. But we do, goddamn it! And we intend to use it!
That said, here's the email. Hope to see you all there. It's gonna be a great show.
iloveyou,
Rob
hey, this is the Dust from theUnreal. we are back in boulder recovering from driving all night from Omaha, Nebraska. we are sooo happy to be back here where we have some friends, fans and poets.
mumbles says "i've got friends but no poets, two cents does not pay rent, i'm so homeless."
boulder really is a sight for road weary eyes, and we know we won't be homeless here. when we all wake up from our nap, we'll be super excited to head out to our first show in town at Burnt Toast tonight at 8pm (pennsylvania and broadway) and we're happy to announce the arrival of our newest member, samul sax.
he's an emcee, a poet, vocalist, musician, and really adorable to boot... we also are sporting a host of new poems and albums. hope to see lots of our boulder people there to help us celebrate our return to colorado!

The show was great. They'll be playing again in Boulder Sun (6/21) at the Folsom St Coffee Shop. Show starts at 7. You should check it out.
